A Day for Everything and Everything on it's Day!

Greetings!

As a externally employed working houseslave my time is very limited to accomplish all i need to do. i know many slaves and submissives who are in similar circumstances. Here is a concept that may make your weeks go more smoothly as you try to organize your Master's Home and make room for all of your service tasks. The idea is attributed to back in the 1930's or so when every household had a certain day on which to accomplish certain tasks. And it the creation of a weekly schedule!

One of my favorite blogs - Brocante Home- has a weekly schedule that looks like this:

Laundry- Monday
Tidying. - Tuesday
Baking. - Wednesday
Puttering. - Thursday
Shopping. - Friday
Relaxing. -Saturday
Organizing. - Sunday

Flylady's weekly schedule looks like this:

Monday: Weekly Home Blessing
Tuesday: Free Day
Wednesday: Zone Clean and Partial Desk Time
Thursday: Grocery and Errand Day
Friday: Paperwork and Misc. and Date Night
Saturday: "Family Fun Day"
Sunday: "Renew Your Spirit Day"

As you can see these two schedules differ not only in placement but in what are actually on the schedules themselves. How your schedule will look will depend greatly on if you have employment outside of home or if you work from home (for i do not believe any of us stay home and do not work...lol) as well as if you have children or not. For instance, while the idea of a laundry day sounds wonderful, i do not have a whole day to commit to laundry. It is more efficient for me to use flylady's method of daily Laundry rebooting and add putting away the Laundry to another day. This keeps the laundry mangable and gives me one day a week to devote to making sure all of those clean clothes that perhaps did not make it to the closet during the week are put to rights before the coming week.

The schedule i use has changed and i'm sure will change again as life demands it to. The schedule is a tool and should serve your home, your family, your Owner/Master. If you find your schedule to be burdensome or that you are MORE stressed out, that's a good indicator that it needs to be changed into something more conducive to your lifestyle.

Currently my schedule looks like:

Sunday- Organizing: This is when i get things ready for the coming week. This includes picking outfits for the kidlets for the next week and for myself, going over my weekly planner/moleskin for what the week will hold. Write Thank you notes.

Monday- Puttering or Make it Lovely- This is the day that i spend time making the house yummy. Add flowers, do seasonal decorating, rearrange furniture etc.

Tuesday - OPEN- At this time Tuesday's are left open because it's football season and Master doesn't want me to feel like i have to do chores when i come back from a game. If time allows i typically like to make this Baking Day.

Wednesday- Zone Work - whatever Zone of the house i'm committed to that week i work on it, Make sure refrigerator is clean. Work on menus and grocery list for next week.

Thursday- Grocery and Errand Day- This is the day i shop for groceries, go to the cleaners, the post office, shoe repairs, oil change etc; i try very hard to get it all done on one day.

Friday- Weekly Freshening: Cull/toss old magazines. Change sheets. Empty all the trash. Vacuum all rooms. Mop kitchen and bath. Clean mirrors and doors. Feather Dust furniture. Laundry put away **Friday evening i also pack Master's bags for any trips He may have the coming week. This leaves the rest of our weekend pretty open.**

Saturday- Relaxation and Play Day: Saturday's we spend about an hour doing things that may not have gotten done the rest of the week (like cleaning under the kitchen sink for instance) and the rest of the day is for enjoyment.

During lunchtime during the week i do the following:
Monday: Make appointments
Tuesday: Exercise
Wednesday: slave maintenance (pedicure, eyebrows, personal shopping etc;)
Thursday: Exercise
Friday: OPEN

All of the above is open for change. i will often swap days based on what the week looks like. For instance if while organizing on Sunday i realize i have appointments that interfere with Wednesdays Zones work, i will alter that to another day.

i hope this inspires you to create a schedule that works for you and please feel free to post it in the comments below! i look forward to reading them!!!

~Serve well
